3/ AFSP's CEO ignored our concerns & moved forward w/ their partnership. After yrs of fundraising off Project 2025, pushing away gun control groups to appease NSSF, & having no success in reducing gun suicides, AFSP has secretly eliminated Project 2025 but it continues to collaborate w/ NSSF.

2/ In 2016, Julia Wyman (former ED of States United to Prevent Gun Violence) & I met with AFSP’s CEO Robert Gebbia in his posh NYC office to urge him to cut ties with the NSSF - to prevent them f/ legitimizing a gun lobby grp that was spending more $ than the NRA to derail gun control bills.

NY's Essential Plan was established under an optional ACA provision that allows states to create a Basic Health Program for low-income residents who don't qualify for Medicaid. The Essential Plan used ACA premium tax credits, to finance the program.

Medicaid cuts will impact everyone!

Less patients = the inability of hospitals & clinics to sustain operations.

Doors at clinics and hospitals will not close just for Medicaid patients but for everyone.

Rural hospitals get most of their funding from Medicaid and Medicare.
