I don’t mean to complain. I just hate feeling squicked out by my hair. It doesn’t look or feel good, and it won’t until long after EQUUS.

My hair is the shortest it’s been in a decade and I hate that nothing feels the way it’s supposed to; tying it back, brushing it from my shoulders, even *moving my head side to side* feels alien. Bleh. Plus, it was cut straight across, which will soon be fine, but not for the event I did this for.

Do you find your experience with other instruments make it easier in some way? I bounced off guitar after a serious attempt (I hung in far longer than I wanted to, I knew it wouldn’t be easy), but it would have been my first instrument.

My handler and I celebrated our 7th anniversary last night. They got me this above the knee kilt, and then proceeded to be delighted when I wasn’t sure how to wear it since I’ve never worn anything cut this short before. Also, gropings and spankings were administered >_< ❤️🐴

I guess my point is that being queer isn’t a free pass to be fucking awful. Focus on expanding who you love (platonically, romantically, whatever) not who you don’t. Be a good person first.

But fuck our enemies. No quarter expected, nor given. Focus on the people capable of loving us back. ❤️🐴

And I mean it about community organization work. It isn't just queer creatives afraid of being judged for making imperfect art (which, to be clear, is already a travesty, especially in a time when we're being silenced by so many outside forces). I mean giving up on creating queer spaces.

We all have our issues but I won’t tolerate casual cruelty, or interpersonal conflict dressed up in the language of oppression. Be fucking kind to allies you disagree with. Reserve the rest for our enemies. ❤️🐴

Back on the amphetamine salts after a 3-year detour down dextroamphetamine road (RX meds) due to shortage.

I could cry with relief. The former worked for 20 years. The last 3 years have been awful. Every afternoon tired and jittery and resisting the urge to self medicate. Now it’s good again ❤️🐴
