i struggle with a brain that wants to stiffly copy whatever reference i'm using and one thing i've found helpful:
1. draw big blocky shapes over the reference
2. turn off ref and redraw big blocky shapes
3. draw in figure with big blocky shapes overlaid

I’m excited for Sonic 4 but also worried about Amy’s writing. She has to stay faithful to her character so legacy fans like her, have a girlboss moment so corporate can meet their “woke” quota, AND well written enough that neither mess with the flow of dialogue and force her into a background role
