Very true point, the relief is a temporary feeling that ultimately results in guilt when you later reflect on the things you missed out on or conversations you dropped the ball on, etc. The only thing to do is try and use that knowledge to motivate yourself to push past it!!

Social anxiety is insidious, it locks you in place and stops you from pursuing an action you wanted, then rewards you with relief after you reverse back and don't send the message, don't make that phone call, or leave that place- like "see, don't you feel better you DIDN'T do that?"

Throwback to some snails I painted in 2024 and never shared here 😳
