Tonight is Krampusnacht. Celebrate by looking at all these old Krampuses I've made over the years and then wait patiently for your inevitable punishment, you wicked child.

Krampus celebrations were banned in the 1930s by the Nazis in Germany and the fascist Christian government in Austria. Therefore, it's canon that Krampus is an anti-fascist symbol.

Ghosts of Krampus Past, Day 4

2023 & 2024

Today on his birthday, we’re remembering the great Tony Todd, not only for the iconic roles he embodied, but for the tremendous passion he had for his work, and for his thoughtful and nuanced approach to a genre that was lucky to benefit from his gifts. He is missed.

Now is the time of Yule and Monsters

Part of the top of the frame widens out into a red banner reading 'Gryla & Jólakötturinn'. Now get out there and try not to get eaten.

Jan 1933, wrestlers from Scotland, England, Ireland, Australia, S. Africa, New Zealand and Canada performed at the Victoria Theatre, Dundee. This troop of 'lithesome ladies' gave a display 'with the excitement of serious struggles'. A gold watch was on offer to any local woman who could beat them:
10 female wrestlers pose for a photo headlined Lady Wrestlers at The Victoria. They are all white, they wear singlets/vests and pose with arms crossed to show their biceps. They wear their hair chin length in an array of fashionable styles. I reckon I could beat most of them, except far left - she's also very pretty.
