I have been making my dumb life from drawing my little guys and stuff for more than 15 years now and I would like to continue to and you can help...

Original screen prints, paintings, etc: octophant.us/buy

Art prints: www.inprnt.com/gallery/phin...

Shirts & merch: octophant.threadless.com
A screen print featuring head shots of 8 soviet dogs which were sent to orbit from 1957 to 1966, all surrounding the original canine cosmonaut Laika. A red star and banner at the top reads 'Soviet Space Dogs' next to illustrations of two different orbital capsules used in the program. All text is in Russian. An oil painting of a red human skull with a bright orange outline against a collage of '80s Japanese wrestling magazine pages. Picture of wrestlers, wrestling, and a lot of Japanese text, presumably about wrestling. A digital illustration of a spectral owl, with cephalopod arms where its legs would have been. The owl has two arrows embedded in its ghostly body. There is a stylized human skull tied to the top of its head which also has an arrow in it. Night sky, a bare tree, clouds, and a full moon are the background. A black t-shirt with an image of a Black Crowned Night Heron: a medium-sized bird with a whitish chest/belly, dark blue-black wing tops and crown, a black spearlike bill, red eyes, and proportionally long yellow legs with long toes, slightly webbed standing on a stylized rock, with a green rushing river and blue sky behind. An actual bejeweled black crown is suspended over the bird's head and a golden beam of light is coming from within it down onto the regal heron. All this is within an elaborate frame rendered to look like patinated wrought iron. As part of the frame, arcing over the bird's head on either side of the crown it reads BLACK CROWNED, and below the birds feet are the words NIGHT HERON.

Honey Don’t has accomplished a cinematic feat I would have thought impossible: showing me Margaret Qualley and Aubrey Plaza having sex and me feeling no particular way about it.

Too good of a pose not to mess with contest or otherwise.
A drawing in digital graphite based on the pose photo in the quoted post. A thin and lithe human in a deep crouch, up on their toes, legs splayed out and their long arms crossed in front of their body. The long fingers of each hand in in curving black claws. Their hair is short and smoothed down close to their head. Their expression is intent and aggressive, looking out from heavily shadowed eyes. From the sides of their head are sprouting two forms somewhat like horns, but also like bent pieces of jagged metal. And several more such forms are rising from their back. Partly to look cool and partly because they were fun to draw. This whole dangerous-seeming figure is perched on top of the head of a sculpture, or possibly a church gargoyle depicting a fierce, horned animal or monster of some kind.

B) Last Xmas I guess
B-2) Everything is ridiculous sprawl there now
C) Everything looks like fun when you live in Greeley

HOWEVER: I grew up in and around Ft. Collins and at some point after I left everyone decided to start calling it FoCo which I hate and it makes me feel like I’m not from there anymore.

What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?

But no glass right? Everything all boarded up? Generally on fire?

I know I’m not the smartest politics guy here but it does confuse me that no one wants to make an issue of this guy constantly saying things everyone knows are objectively untrue

Trump: "I don't know what could be worse than Portland. You don't even have stores anymore. They don't even put glass up. They put plywood on their windows."

This sounds more like management’s failure than yours

“So anyway, Frank, I’ve made up a bunch of my own weird crap to put in your story. Yeah it’s just not weird enough. How do you feel about a rat taped to a cat stuck in a box and a guy has to milk it to stay alive? Well we already shot it anyway. Wait’ll you see Sting’s shorts…”

Frank Herbert (1920-1986) was born 105 years ago today.

Here's Frank Herbert with David Lynch, who wrote and directed the first Dune adaptation in 1984 (and who passed away in January).

Glad Dolly is ok or whatever but I need the celebs to understand that if any outcome ever comes down to my praying it's not going to work out. Whether I try or not. Just trust me on this.

I was going to do something with color here, but I got way into messing with the graphite effects in these new Procreate brushes.

Here is what I believe to be my Halloweeniest beer label ever
Beer label illustration for Chub Step Porter from 2014. A black French Bulldog with red eyes, prominent fangs (the dog is a vampire you see...), and a protruding pink tongue. On his chest is a white bat-shaped marking. He is wearing big over-the-ear headphones, except the outside of each ear cup is a fanged skull, and they are joined by spinal vertebra and ribs. He is spreading his large purple bat wings. Behind him is an eastern European castle and this all sits atop a stone platform with the name of the beer carved into it.

🐓 ☀️ 🌿 Good Morning! 🌿 ☀️ 🐓

The early bird special for the Artist Edition of my new book ends in one hour ~ 10am CT. Go get 'em!

Kickstarter.com/projects/babayaga/shackling

I'm SO excited to make these, y'all - this is going to be so much fun. 💖
Mock up of an open book lying over a closed book, with some text at the top. The open book shows a couple drawings of chicken-legged baba yaga huts. The closed book is dark green with a drawing on it and the word "shackling" - it's a little fuzzy tbh. The text at the top of the whole thing reads: "Artist Edition, Early Bird Special" with an arrow pointing to the inside left page of the open book where a drawing has been made on the page with some unreadable text and a signature (a signed and sketched copy of the book)
