Meanwhile, I keep busy with the Woolbeast Wayguide:
Creating creatures in watercolor and sculpture; writing their stories for my book in progress.

(I also draw a lot of Baba Yaga huts and occasional beer labels)

It's a very strange time to be making weird little art projects and I'm so grateful for all the support this has gotten so far. Creating my own stories and sharing them is my dream and y'all are helping me do it. Thank you.

Reading is Fhtagnmental

A woman with pale skin a greenish tint and green embellishment on her eyelids and lips. She has a short orange-ginger bob haircut and all she's apparently wearing is a heavy necklace chain suspending a large rough-cut green gem in a silvery metal setting. She's holding a heavy-looking leather and metal-bound tome open in one hand at chest height and seems to be pointing out a text with the finger of the other hand. Magical green letters of an unpronounceable language are floating up from the pages of the book, connected to each other and to the necklace gem by rough edged bubbles and umbilici. Her body below where it is occluded by the book shows the progress of the spell being invoked, as she transforms into a writhing mass of warped parts of hideous sea monsters: tentacles, teeth, spikes, claws, grasping mouths, and dead blue unblinking eyes. If you read this far you must agree with me that it is cool and gross.

Years ago I went through a phase of putting chicken legs on ... stuff?
Everything I've ever made has always been a bit absurd and self-indulgent.

For example: here is a breakfast radish on legs, which I made of wool and wire.

🎃 SQUASH SEASON 🎃

starting with this haul from Northern WI from last week: two Delicatas, one "pie" pumpkin that looks lovely AND delicious, and a giant Gete Okosomin which I've never used before and am unreasonably excited about.
