Abortion bans have dire consequences on entire communities. Research shows a link between abortion restrictions and economic harm, like increased income inequality. "...denying people abortions entrenches them deeper into poverty." Read more: https://bit.ly/4ohkB1w
Image from an article of a crowd of people holding various protest signs related to abortion rights at an outdoor event. The headline from "The 19th*" reads, "Abortion bans push families deeper into poverty and drive up crime, economists say." Quote graphic with pink border; text reads: 'Most people who seek abortions are already parents, and their main reason is that they cannot afford another child. Years of research has underscored that denying them abortion perpetuates poverty.'

This World Contraception Day, let’s be clear: birth control is legal, safe, effective, and widely available. Politicians don’t get to control your body. The decision to use the pill, the patch, an IUD, or any other method is yours to make with your health care provider.

We believe Missourians deserve accurate information on their ballots, and need to know this proposal would overturn the reproductive freedom voters enshrined into our state constitution last year.

But he ordered Secretary of State Denny Hoskins to rewrite the ballot summary proposal because it “fails to adequately alert voters that the proposed constitutional amendment would eliminate [the 2024 abortion rights amendment], which voters recently approved.”

From every corner of Missouri, we show up loud and proud when our voices and votes are under attack — the people united will never be defeated 🏛️📣

Earlier this week, the PPGR Action team rallied alongside thousands of Missourians at the State Capitol — one of the largest turnouts we’ve ever seen — to show lawmakers we refuse to be silenced and demand fair congressional maps that keep our communities whole.

Thousands of Missourians packed the Missouri capitol to make it crystal clear: our voices won’t be silenced.

We know that if Trump’s plan succeeds, rigged maps will take power away from Missourians. That is why it was so important that you showed up and helped us fight.

Today we're rallying with hundreds of MO residents in Jefferson City to show lawmakers that we refuse to be silenced, and demand fair congressional maps that keep our communities whole. Together, we can stop this power grab — we're going to keep showing up and making our voices impossible to ignore.
A protest sign lying on the ground reads, "Respect Missouri Voters Don't Take Missouri Voters Voice Away."

Politicians in the Missouri Legislature want to silence our voices by illegally gerrymandering our state, and ending majority rule.

The MO House of Representatives will hear these two proposals — and you have the power to do something about it. #MoLeg
