Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy and should be equally accessible to everyone. HB 2878 would restore voting rights to people who have completed sentences and are currently serving their probation or parole. Submit testimony online in support: witness.house.mo.gov/Default.aspx...

Our constitution established 3 co-equal branches: the legislative, executive, and judicial. This system of checks & balances creates an interplay of power between the branches, ensuring that each holds its own authority, while subject to & dependent on the authority of the others to fully function.

Happening now: we are in court fighting for abortion rights ensuring that Missourians have access to the full range of options including both procedural and medication abortion. This is possible because of the Right to Reproductive Freedom Initiative that voters passed in 2024.

Happening now: We are in court defending the people’s right to referendum from harmful delay tactics aimed at bypassing the people's constitutional right to referendum.
January 8, 2026 at 4:26 PM
Previous Secretaries of State and Attorneys General have agreed with the established precedent that referred legislation is suspended upon receipt of the referendum petition. In 2017, SOS Jay Ashcroft announced that the so-called right-to-work law was suspended after receiving 300,000+ signatures.
January 7, 2026 at 8:10 PM
Just in: We filed a lawsuit on behalf of Missouri voters against the State for violating Missourians’ right to referendum by enacting the HB1 congressional maps before voters have the opportunity to approve or reject the measure as provided by the state constitution.
December 23, 2025 at 4:23 PM
Breaking: The Missouri Supreme Court declined to take up the state's appeal to reinstate Missouri's ban on abortion and several restrictions that prevented access to care. This means that abortion care will remain available in Missouri.

The court rewrote the ballot language for the anti-abortion Amendment 3, including the summary statement that voters will see on the ballot and the fair ballot language which informs voters of what a yes and no vote will mean.
December 4, 2025 at 7:20 PM
Just in: Court finds both the legislature's and the Secretary of State's summary statement and fair ballot language insufficient; orders new language. More to come.
Breaking: We are in Court fighting to to ensure fair and accurate ballot language on the misleading, anti-abortion Amendment 3, which would end the right to reproductive freedom in Missouri. Missourians are required to have fair and accurate ballot language when asked to change the constitution.

"The court saw SB775 for what it is, an unconstitutional censorship law that used the threat of fines & imprisonment to eliminate the guidance of professional librarians & parents and instead gave control over what our students read to politicians in Jefferson City,”

"The new map faces a series of court challenges from orgs such as the ACLU of Missouri and the Missouri chapter of the NAACP. At the same time, a group called People Not Politicians launched a signature-gathering campaign to try to force a statewide vote that would strike down the map."

Remind a friend, abortion access is available in Missouri.

After the Right to Reproductive Freedom Initiative passed last November, Missourians gained access to care. First, hospital-based providers began to provide care without the threat of prosecution.
