I carried a watermelon.
Made it the entire holiday season, and then the very last song I heard on the radio before they stopped playing Xmas tunes was the godforsaken Xmas Shoes song, and it is in my head, and I am profoundly angry about this turn of events.

Thank a union, today and always
🚨NEWS: A temporary order has been issued blocking the Labor Dept. from sharing any data with DOGE, after a group of unions, including AFGE, sued DOGE and held a major protest outside DOL yesterday.

There is, though. It's just that it's us. This is the moment when you're horrifically ill and puking everywhere and wishing a grown-up would come clean it up and bring you a Vernors, and then you realize you are the grown-up and no one else is coming.
I think Americans, blessed with relatively stable government for a long time, assume there is someone, some adult, who will step in and make things right before the President does anything REALLY bad.

There’s not.

Dear Canada,
That 51st state thing was in poor taste...but have YOU considered an 11th province? The Timmies advance guard is already here.
Sincerely,
Michigan
P.S. Also open to being part of Ontario.

Them: "Why would you want to get out of teaching?"
Me: "Well, I just flunked a kid for turning in an AI generated paper about the benefits of AI in the classroom, so..."

Told my husband we had to watch this asap, as a testing rig in No Effort November would be fantastically sketchy. Was not disappointed!
