The DOJ appears to have surveilled members of Congress who were looking through unredacted pages in the Epstein files and provided that information to Pam Bondi for her hearing before the House Judiciary Committee.

For most fans in DC, I imagine those emotions can be summed up thusly:

Given the Spirit news, this means this pic was from Croix Bethune's last game at Audi Field for the Spirit.

Still love this photo but... really different emotions go with it now.

Awww I forgot that they were so tight.

Mostly was thinking of it in an on-the-field way though. Feels like KC now just has a crazy number of forwards and attacking mids.

Wait... yeah... where does she go?

Are they gonna teach her how to be a 6?

I get all of that, but with salary numbers not public, no idea how doable it is to make a big signing and keep all (or even most) of these folks.

bsky.app/profile/jaso...
NWSL salaries aren't public so this is speculative, but I think they have a looming cap crunch that had to be dealt with.

Rodman's contract + Sullivan's return from SEI + big names on contracts that end in 11 months (Kingsbury, Krueger, Wiesner, Santos, Sullivan, Hershfelt).
Do you think this move is to offset some of the financial impacts of the Spirit’s other big offseason moves or if this is to make room for another big move? Or for other reasons?

Also now officially KC West FC. I think it's three former Currents and a KC native?
February 11, 2026 at 9:21 PM
My guess is it's either that or this is how they've solved the humongous roster/contract crunch at the end of the season.

Could also be some combination of the two (i.e. they have money to keep everyone they want to keep plus bring someone major in.)

Looks like @tamerra-griffin.bsky.social has the full scoop on Hutton featuring an interview with her.

Hutton says she *chose* Bay FC over other options, including overseas!

Side note: Bay is really becoming KC west!

Silkowitz, Pfeiffer, now Hutton... plus Dorian Bailey never played there but is from the KC area.

*And Claire Hutton goes to Bay FC?

Wow what a day of moves!
BREAKING: Sources confirm that two rising #USWNT star midfielders are changing #NWSL teams in two major intra-league transfers

🚨 Claire Hutton to Bay FC (KC gets $1.1M total fee)

Extra context: I was just listening to Haley Carter on @heyspirits.bsky.social mention that this is a business and selling off players/facilitating their development is part of the job.

In hindsight, feels like a clue to this. Really curious to see where they'll use the $$ next.

Kobe alert!

It may be hard to believe, but the Lakers (the LA Lakers, not their G-League affiliate) have a Kobe in their starting lineup tonight.

Kobe Bufkin earned the call and is playing right now.

They're down 30 to the Spurs but Kobe just got signed to the big club through next season!
Friday morning G-League today! And I still kinda can’t get over that the star of the Lakers G-League team is a guy named Kobe Bufkin.

(Also no disrespect to his game. He scores about 27 a game and has 20 at halftime.)

Find a surplus office store near you and see if they are selling a slightly used ergonomic chair for way less than market value. That’s how I got mine for my home office!

Got to see the monks pass by as they walked through Arlington on their 2,300-mile Walk for Peace this afternoon.

This is near the end for them, as they will be in Washington tomorrow, before heading into Maryland for a bus back home to their monastery in Texas.
