Whenever I am designing a #ritual, I try to make sure I engage all of my senses in the experience. This helps to create a more immersive ritual, it smooths the transition from mundane life into sacred space, and it allows you to open up to #magick and the Divine more easily.

I am also passionate about the environment, so the sustainability aspect appealed to me as well. I feel like I've just continued collecting reasons over the years that have supported my decision!

Then I read an article on factory farming for school, and decided that I couldn't continue to eat meat knowing what kind of conditions the animals were kept under. This was before organic/free range/cage free became popular and widely accessible. (Continued...)

It's been a combination of things over the course of the past 21 years! (I can't believe it's been that long!) I converted to Paganism about a year before becoming vegetarian. The sacredness of nature and all life is part of what drew me to this path. (Continued...)

Painting my #nails is one of my favorite #DevotionsToAphrodite! It’s also a great act of #selfcare, as my #OCD often does not let me treat my hands kindly. Now my hands can be a source of colorful and sparkly joy instead of just anxiety.

Some of my favorite cleansing techniques:

- A sea salt bath or shower scrub
- Cleansing with smoke (incense, palo santo, etc)
- Rosewater or essential oil spray
- Singing bowl
- Selenite wand
- Black tourmaline
- Visualized or actual fire (be careful!)

#Spiritual flexibility requires introspection and really knowing yourself. Part of this is acknowledging, and really listening, to when you need rest. Rest is imperative for our minds, bodies, and spirits to heal. Rest is sacred. The act of taking care of yourself is spiritual.

Get to know Them, have conversations and build rapport, make time for Them, don’t ask for huge favors immediately, figure out what your unique dynamic is, communicate clearly, and keep your promises.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response! Sounds like I’m on the right track! I’ve already got some of this going and I’m planning to roll out some more targeted discussion groups in my newest space. I love immersive rituals, too, so I really want to further develop that for my online rituals!
