Is “Ice Out” a pun or a double entendre? I think pun.

The criteria for fulfilling the right to health is that it must be:
Available
Accessible
Acceptable
And of high quality.

Our government is failing us, and it is intentionally violating the rights of immigrants (or anyone who looks like an immigrant)

Exhibit 1000 that it was never about the law. This administration has broken more laws than the people they are hunting on the streets of Minneapolis.

A reminder that many of the people currently forced to stay home at home because of ICE didn’t get to benefit from telemedicine during COVID. Because they didn’t work from home.

Our patients have been dealing with a version of this since 1/2025, many for much longer. It’s worse now, but it’s been bad for a long time.

Healthcare providers need to be discussing Delegation of Parental Authority forms, habeas processes, and safety plans with all patients at risk. Before they come to your city.

This is being run like a drawdown of an occupying force. Because it is.

Is this a face saving measure? It’s an odd demand since they clearly don’t care whether people they snatch up have criminal offenses.

Minnesota sheriffs group, border czar Tom Homan negotiating blueprint for federal drawdown
Documents obtained by the Star Tribune show how county jails would give access to ICE agents, a key demand Homan has made to decrease the number of federal immigration agents in Minnesota.

It’s a huge challenge to reform NYC prisons, but nothing else has worked, and putting lived experience front and center is an important step.
Today, I made historic appointments who will lead key agencies and create a city where everyone can thrive.

I appointed Stanley Richards as Commissioner of DOC. Decades after he served time in our city’s jails, Commissioner Richards will now be the first formerly incarcerated person to lead them.

Why do your organizing over Signal? So that you don't do your organizing on an app that hasn't been tested or reviewed, run by a guy who doesn't tell his users about data breaches and security problems.

The description of conditions at Dilley and East Montana are horrific. Measles is bad, but measles plus malnutrition and unsanitary conditions is worse.
ICE now confirming that there is a measles outbreak at the Texas concentration camp where young Liam was held.

We are seeing many no-shows in clinic because of fear. Telemedicine exists, but the people who are sheltering at home missed out on the remote work from COVID because they were coming in to work. We need to get the word out that telemedicine exists and is easy to access.

People who are fleeing other countries and claiming asylum, people who have been persecuted and tortured, describe the same conditions in their home countries detention facilities. It’s often the reason they get asylum. And we are doing it here. Shameful
