What makes this worse. Is that when in character everyone was yelling at me, my DM PULLED UP THE DISCORD CHAT and read what I said verbatim.

…my character was used as bait by her patron to draw out another fey. Then her patron revelries herself to the rest of the party, and implied since my character works for her, they are also now under that deal and need to comply.

Okay then! I text my DM, and say “hey I would like to bring in xyz and my character’s patron in before we leave the town we’re in. I’d like for story reasons for her patron to become an issue for the party but we can see what happens.”

Last week, @calyhex.bsky.social was visiting and we were like “oh great! We can set up my character’s backstory and hint that there’s some things she’s desperately trying to protect.”
And then the session went long and we didn’t get to those backstory parts.

DND update: So because of real world reasons, the last campaign I was in blew up and we ended it unceremoniously a few months ago.
However, we started a new campaign! I am now playing a halfling archfey warlock/rogue. And things are going good!…except for getting to any plot lines.

Somehow, Kara slipped past me, GOT UNDER MY CAR, and decided to nap for the last hour and a half while I was busy upstairs. And not once did she cry at all that I SHUT THE DOOR ON HER.

All of the doors are closed (except the basement). I keep the garbage and recycling bins inside the garage, so I didn’t open the bay door.

I check upstairs, bc she hangs out in front of my bedroom door. Nothing.
Now, I’m worried. I go back to the basement and start moving stuff to get to the water heater bc she’s figured out how to get back there.
No kitten.

So, I watch a couple of things for an hour and half, get up, put the cookies away for tomorrow.
And then I realize that Kara’s been a little *too* quiet.
Check under the couch - she’s not there.
