How do my fellow developers deal with designers block when it comes to level design? It's something I've constantly struggled with while doing gamedev and it slows me down pretty majorly.

As development of chapter 1 of #Probomtine comes to an end, I thought it'd be nice to go back and look at some old concept art I did for the level. Turns out a shocking ammount of it is just the test subject being attacked by the worms lol.

The colossal beetles of Starlight forest would be a big issue for the surrounding Solantian towns... That is of course, if it wasn't for their incredibly docile nature.

Some old footage I found of a mechanic I've been working on. Bounce attacks can be instrumental to progressing through the treacherous areas of Solantium. Just make sure to control your height to avoid unforeseen obstacles.

Been working on some new mechanics for early chapter 2 recently. There's been a bit of trial and error but I finally got something I think is pretty good. Still gotta polish it up but I'm happy with where it is right now.

I always forget the size difference between these two characters. I always imagine them as similar sizes in my head but then when I look at the sprites I’m reminded of how much one absolutely towers over the other.
