Honored to have co-authored this with the great Professor Larry Gostin, hope it provides some clarity on both the legal and policy issues in this misguided policy thehill.com/opinion/heal...

very helpful!! although higher ed has to provide accommodations, unlike k-12 it neither has to look for possible needs or testing so it’s common to rely on testing done earlier & students may not know what’s already in their files that could still be a solid basis for accommodations-
When students with disabilities request accommodations at college, they usually have to submit documentation. *Don't assume you know what they need.* Find out online. I wrote this to help you. http://bit.ly/LDBlog109x

Clearly I don’t have enough to worry about, but I’m worried about Frankie trying to live on a beach in France unable to fly because the zoo in England clipped off half his wing www.bbc.com/news/article...

Very confusing for Ollie, he nabbed a whole bag of milk bone chew treats, took them outside, and strew them all over the yard, but he really doesn’t like them —they’re Rosie‘s favorites

Yes indeed
Reminder - when turkey frying, things can go from "wholesome family cooking memory" to "traumatic family cooking memory" very quickly.

A few precious decisions separate, "That's the year we fried the turkey!" and "That's the year we burned down the deck."

Make good choices. Children are watching.

The joke’s on me-I got away from the couch where they were sleeping & into my study to start working on the computer but they followed…..

I have work to do on the computer before the UCONN game & he has rolled in something unspeakable but this puppy snuggling doesn't happen as much now that Ollie is a big boy-almost three, so here we are

Insurance companies know risk! Could it be that the systemic damage caused by cvd plus the brain damage is more than people can or want to encompass?

For those for whom seeing a cat and a (somewhat bewildered but accepting) dog get along here is Jasmine greeting Rosie #cats #dogs #worldpeace

Not a big success-we were giving out candy at the end of the driveway to avoid the bell ringing/knocking that triggers Rosie & he saw a 5 year old ballerina and froze in horror-I had to carry him inside

I’m sparing Rosie an experience she really doesn’t enjoy which is wearing a Halloween costume(wish I could also desensitize her to the outrage of increased foot traffic) -but did want to mark the occasion with our best wishes to all who celebrate!

Teaching this today in #Torts as part of product liability & they are the most disturbing cases I’ve ever presented in a class whose default is severe injury & death—the self harm induced by these bots should no longer be characterized as accidental

pro tip-if you happen to be on a walk with two dogs and one of them appears to have a small dead creature in his mouth, it’s probably not better to drop both leashes and try and pull it out

We had a freeze warning so I harvested everything I could-in a sign of the season I ran out of baskets & had to use the halloween candy bowl #Garden #Halloween 🌱

The garden is certainly less lush but that has a lot to do with how dry it is here, tomatoes are still going strong

It must’ve been red Golden retriever day at the dog pond, I don’t like to photo other people’s dogs but it was fun!
October 5, 2025 at 11:38 PM
It’s very dry here so all it took was a vigorous round of hose watering for Ollie to become encased in mud -until it dries & can be brushed out he is a one doodle shmutz meister
