The 28th @wellcometrust.bsky.social Photography Prize is showcasing its top 25 entries @crick.ac.uk. I was struck Madeleine Waller’s entry, who took photos of her mother, who lives alone in Australia. The series is entitled;

I spend more than 150 hours alone each week… #Loneliness #Heartbreaking
A photo of Margaret, an elderly lady, sitting on her armchair with her eyes shut and her legs resting over one arm. She has a magazine resting on her and is holding an empty glass in one hand. A photo of Margaret wearing a white t-shirt, looking at herself in the bathroom mirror with a black huntsman spider on her shoulder.

Been travelling a lot recently. Always sounds so exciting, and of-course it is but it’s also pretty tiring. There is no place like home ❤️ and I’m glad to be back for our beautiful #BritishSummer ☀️
