Our Labour government ARE taxing wealth.

They ARE making the wealthiest in society pay more.

They did it in the last Budget & I expect more tomorrow.

Anyone who says it's not happening is lying to you.

Anyone who promotes phrases like 'tax billionaires' with no details is selling false hope.

That sounds like an invitation from Farage for the police to investigate to me...
Asked why he won't launch an investigation into whether anyone else in Reform UK has links to Russia, Nigel Farage said: "I haven't got a police force."

Why doesn’t someone sue Trump for saying Ukraine started the war?

Holy shit. So Elon decides it would be nice to know what region of the world people are posting from. So they add that little feature.
2 hours later they figure out that many Trump supporters with millions of followers are posting from other countries. Surprise!
That "feature" is now gone.

PEM = Pan-Euro-Mediterranean preferential rules of origin.

Customs unions are complicated.
PEM is very complicated as well.

Both aim to make trade easier between selected partners, but in slightly different ways.

This piece explains more, if you want it:

PEM is not a Customs Union

Each of those quotes was in response to specific questions, so don't pick them apart without knowing that context as if there is some hidden meaning hiding in them that you somehow manage to bloody find, which the Home Secretary was trying to hide from us...

Thank you for listening to what the Home Secretary actually said. Others should learn to listen properly.

And: "I made it clear that this is not about taking jewellery—wedding rings and so on—off people at the border; that will never happen"

Do I need to go on? It's bloody clear to me.

If anyone keeps repeating the lies, they are doing what the media wants and sharing misinformation.

But not bloody jewellery!

She also said this "The hon. Gentleman knows full well that it is not the policy of this Government to confiscate jewellery from those who are accessing asylum accommodation."

And: "We are not taking jewellery at the border; I cannot say it any more clearly than that"

So, to all those saying Labour do nothing for the more vulnerable: the laws passed to protect children from online abuse, workers from unfair employers, tenants from unfair landlords, kids from going to school hungry, workers paid low wages… all of this is “nothing”?
Give your head a wobble.

🚨Liz Carr's evidence against the Assisted Dying Bill

Health and care funding crisis will create pressure to choose assisted suicide, MPs and peers are told
Many terminally-ill people would feel “duress” and “pressure” to choose an assisted suicide if it is legalised, because of the lack of funding for the NHS, palliative care and social care services,…

It’s a slow burn Marge. our money is going into low paid and our children in schools/education, EXACTLY the right targets. My 3 kids (38-43) had pay rises (and back pay) above inflation for the first time in 14 years, got help with child care, breakfast clubs and lunches as well as mortgage drops. 👍
Labour MP'S like my own doing great work locally for our communities. Just been to a local meeting he organised to engage the community re the 1.5 million our town received from the Pride in Britain fund for town centre regeneration.
Needed some normality after this week.

Real people in real towns are being helped by this government. Don’t let ANYONE tell you differently. Things are starting to improve and it’s the people who desperately need the help who are getting it first. Labour are transforming this country into one we can be proud of.

this is funny - GM phasing CarPlay out, TSLA phasing it in. (My bias here is I would never buy a vehicle w/o it)

Starmer and Reeves have a 10 yr plan. I like their plan. I don’t expect it to materialise in 16 months. And I don’t expect it to be without its challenges. I also accept external factors will play a part. That’s why it’s a 10 year plan.
