I've been looking at the Metal Slug 1-3 A LOT over the years and noticed this at the end of MS3 stage 2.
1) Crop of the bg just before the boss comes in.
2) Crop with a sprite that was overlayed removed.
3) Just that sprite.
4) Generic smoke puff animation the sprite was taken from.

We've really gotta stop calling new adaptations "remakes".
Eg- There's a new Alice in Wonderland coming out by not Disney- it is not a "remake" of the cartoon, it's an adaptation of the source material. The new Running Man movie is not a "remake" of the film, it's a new adaptation of the book. etc

I'll admit, while I think this is a good thing, I have never, ever, had any good luck navigating Microsoft's Xbox docs lol It's like the documentation is for *everything* Microsoft related, and not just Xbox, and in order to ask questions, you (seemingly) need to pay for their support services.
