🚨 Prospect members at London Museum vote to take industrial action over pay.

Our members have worked tirelessly for the Museum as it seeks to open its new flagship site. The offer which has been imposed is poor reward for such dedication and shows how undervalued by their employer our members are.

What's even worse than a pension scheme not paying retiring members any money for months and months? A pension scheme that doesn't even know how many retired members it hasn't paid any money to for months and months.
The government does not know how many members of the Civil Service Pension Scheme are awaiting delayed retirement quotations or pension payments since the scheme transferred to Capita.

There are already thousands of ‘doers’ in government, who have specialist in-demand skills in areas like science, data and procurement. These people are frequently underpaid, undervalued and vital to on-the-ground delivery.

👉 Encouraging more girls into STEM isn't enough if women are later pushed out by unsustainable working practices.

👉 Addressing gender inequality in the tech industry will require more than encouragement or skills pipelines. It demands structural change.
