Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

~ William Butler Yeats (1919)

I can't imagine a world without Diane Keaton. I worked with her on a movie project back in the day, and she was everything you'd expect and want her to be. Hilarious, kind, authentic, unassuming. Real. RIP to one of the greatest ever.
The man’s frontal lobes are completely fried. He is incapable of separating fantasy from reality… or even making reasoned choices.

I expect many more crimes, each one worse than the previous one… unfortunately.
Let’s just start calling them:
Pam Maxwell and Kash Epstein.

Add in a high probability of civil unrest, partisan violence, and institutional failures.
"So let me get this straight. Trump gets into a trade war with China. China stops buying American crops. Argentine farmers fill the gap, screwing US farmers out of billions. Trump then sends $20 billion to help out Argentina's economy. How is this winning? What am I missing?" ~ Marc Pocan #ProudBlue

So, why is the Trump Administration gifting Argentina $20 billion dollars for “infrastructure” when Natives on the Navajo Nation Reservation must have water trucked in because reservation water is polluted from decades of non-Native mining?

Guys. Guys. GUYS!

I just spontaneously uttered a phrase that I will henceforth use every time someone begins mainsplaining to me:

“I’m sorry but I’m not here for this conversation”

Just delivered to a bozo who literally sat down so he could lecture me on nuclear weapons.

Republicans are shutting down the government because they don’t want to release the Epstein Files. They want to protect themselves and their big donor Republicans.
Especially the pedophile in the WH.

Imagine you're a career military general being summoned for a pentagon strategy lecture by a former game show host and a former weekend talk show host.
Think about the over-valuation of Tesla, AI stocks, the thousands being laid off because of AI. The amount of investment crypto products and NFTs that could become instantly worthless. Some part of this bubble is going to pop… and it won’t be pretty.
The economy was actually better before the 1929 crash than it is now, although conditions are remarkably similar.
What the USA DID have in 1929 that we don’t have now is STABLE to slightly DECLINING INFLATION, and LOW GROCERY PRICES driven by agricultural overproduction.
This decade also featured extreme income inequality, excessive stock speculation that drove valuations to unsustainable highs
The crash was also precipitated by overvalued utility stocks, which were propped up by speculative investment trusts. When the utilities sector began to fall in October, it triggered panic selling that spread to the entire market.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) hit a historic high of 381.17 on September 3, 1929, an increase of 218.7% since 1922.
Stock prices in 1929 were unsustainably high and far exceeded their actual value based on company earnings.
