We went to see the play, Dear England last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it. It's the first time I've ever managed to sit through an England penalty shoot out without asking the question, "Right, who else needs a cup of tea?"

I have been cross with Labour about a lot of stuff and I could say, you should have done it sooner, which I'm sure I probably have, but, well done Rachel Reeves on lifting the two child benefit cap. It really matters.

Protest comes in many guises. This has a touch of genius.
In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

Think this is pretty urgent myself.

I mean, just no words.
Republican Senator Mike Rounds:

"Rubio did make a phone call to us this afternoon and he made it very clear to us that we are the recipients of a proposal that was delivered to one of our representatives. It is not our recommendation, it is not our peace plan.”

I spent half of yesterday thinking it was Friday. Now I've just realised today is Friday and I'd better get my body into gear and much warm clothing and shop for food as much of the family is descending tomorrow. Onwards.

It’s World Philosophy Day today so here’s a poem in celebration of that.

Dear Labour, you won the last election because so many of us were sick of the nasty politics/ policies of the Tories. We wanted change to bring humanity back into politics. But yesterday we found you offer no alternative. Reform, won't need to win an election, you are now governing for them not us.
November 18, 2025 at 9:29 AM
Exactly this!
Starmer’s anti-asylum policies show how utterly clueless he is about the right-wing media’s role in politics.

He’s trying to fix a “problem” contrived by Farage, GB News and The Telegraph. He’ll never win, because ultimately he’s fighting a ghost – he’s fighting something that doesn’t really exist
November 18, 2025 at 8:35 AM
What a bloody grim day. Labour, I think today you finally lost me.

My sisters and I have a method for buying the family Christmas presents which I won't bore you with but it has worked very happily for years. Except this year, where we have all got very confused indeed!!
