Crusader II - Sorel Etrog - 1976 📍 burnaby

Donated to SFU in 2012, Crusader II is one of three bronze sculptures installed in the Saywell Courtyard. All three sculptures were crafted by Sorel Etrog, a member of the Order of Canada.

On The Beach - Geert Maas - 1999 📍 burnaby

This bronze sculpture depicts five sunbathers, arranged as a family. Multiple patinas were used in order to achieve the unique textures of swimsuits, hair, and skin. In 2002, Maas installed a similar sculpture in downtown Kelowna.
