Wednesday I went to the office, interacted with my lovely and interesting colleagues, walked 4,000 steps, and got some sudden and shockingly bad news. I’ve been in a crash ever since. Not sure I’ll recover in time for Xmas travel.

Wednesday I went to the office, interacted with my lovely and interesting colleagues, walked 4,000 steps, and got some sudden and shockingly bad news. I’ve been in a crash ever since. Not sure I’ll recover in time for Xmas travel.

Today we remember the thousands of Americans who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor 84 years ago. Nearly half of those lost were aboard the USS Arizona, and I remember what a moving experience it was when Gabby and I visited the memorial. We’ll never forget their sacrifice.

I don’t think people outside of healthcare realize how much AAP is standing out as a moral backbone of medicine right now, especially in pediatrics. There is so much fear at institutions. Seeing an org directly and repeatedly targeted refuse to budge an inch is extraordinary.
