CQT hosted a globe-trotting quantum light source in October for its first and only stop (so far) in Asia. The visit was part of QuanTour, an outreach project supported by the German Physical Society for the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ).

Time to celebrate! PhD student Qin Qichen defended his thesis "Fast Sideband Cooling and Blade Trap for Multi-ion Clock"! 👏 He was advised by Murray Barrett. "I hope this work helps pave the way toward multi-ion optical clocks and new frontiers in quantum metrology,” says Qichen.
