It's not enough to ask. For example body cameras mean nothing. We have streaming video of them executing people and the response is "they deserved it". We'll just end up with more snuff films. Nothing more.

BREAKING: huge, gigantic, enormous win

SCOTUS allows our big victory at trial upholding the Prop 50 redistricting to remain in place

Kudos to my @democracydefendersaction.org, @lulacorg.bsky.social, Arnold & Porter & rest of the coalition that countered Trump's attempt to steal Congressional seats

We all want to protect our democracy.

That means facing this hard truth: right now it is facing greater danger at home than from any foreign threat.

We need to take Donald Trump’s calls to “nationalize” elections extremely seriously.

What is he planning next after this sham raid on an elections facility in Fulton County?

Karp screwed his law firm just like he screwed teenage girls. Lawyers left the firm because of his compliance with Trump. Clients left because they lost trust. He thought if he capitulated he would be safe. All he did was cause destruction and postpone everyone finding out about him.

You’ll notice that not one single reporter stood up for/defended CNN’s Kaitlan Collins as she was being verbally attacked by the orange felon in the bulldozed White House. They can’t even stand up for one of their own so there’s no hope of them ever standing up for democracy.

The Supreme Court lets California use the congressional map Dems passed to response to Trump's unprecedented mid-decade gerrymandering spree in GOP states.

We need a national gerrymandering ban, but the GOP has repeatedly blocked one. Dems must respond in kind until then.

On the old CA map, Dems may have flipped 4 GOP seats that Trump won by <6 points. Prop 50 passed in 3 of them.

By contrast, the GOP targeted many seats they were unlikely to win in a Dem wave, including:
MO: 1
NC: 1
OH: 1-2
TX: 3-5

The GOP has gained considerably from new maps when viewed this way

Still, Republicans haven't been able to gerrymander a wave-proof House majority.

But the 2026 maps almost certainly WILL give the GOP a greater advantage than in 2024, especially if/when SCOTUS lets them gut VRA districts in additional states.

This is why Dems have to respond everywhere they can
