I love the more goofier Megas. And I like how it has Starman from Earthbound vibes.
Also I find it funny how quickly the competitive scene all of a sudden began worshipping Mega Starmie when it looks like it may have Huge Power in Champions.

Speaking of Starmie i had mixed feelings about its Mega...it looks crap,but it slowly grew on me thanks to its official artwork,also i think it would be kinda funny to see Mega Starmie as Mizo's bodyguard lol

The Pokemon Manga isn't as Super Dark and Edgy as people make it out to be but it is still surprisingly one of the darker entries in the franchise.
It kind of hits the right amount of dark IMO. Not like the fangames that have Pikachu say "FUCK!" and everyone cries blood and eat human flesh.

A rare chance to have a fire type move try to stop a type it is weak to. But Apollo would shoot out a strong flamethrower as he jumped out of the way to slow it down!

Unovan Pokemon /finally/ getting love beyond just Mega Audino. And IMO the Gen 5 Megas have to be some of my favorite in the franchise now.

Say what you want about Z-A, it redeemed Mega Evolution at least in a mechanical gameplay sense.
It's more of a regular mechanic where even no-name NPCs can use it, there's more variety in them with the new inclusions, and some of the trainers with them do not fuck around.

Also I can say due to how messy EXP share is in X/Y and overall easy the games were without EXP Share with it handing you busted shit like candy, it made characters like Lysandre and especially Diantha into jokes within the Pokemon fanbase due to how they can be swept.

Z-A actually felt like the "Mega evolution" game more than the games that debuted the mechanic.

(Just woke up and don't want to miss the generation discourse. I was very underwhelmed with XY when it came out. It's mainly because the generations gimmick is barely used by the AI and your options to use it are also as barren before postgame.)
