We'll see how long I'll be gone. The first 6 mos are a lock. I'll be in Costa Rica working at a wildlife rescue. Then head to Panama and hang out in Bocas del Toro for a bit? then Boquete up in the mountains? Then it probably depends on how things are going here, and if I can get my house rented...

Lost both dogs last Sat - on our fire road.
Sun AM leads, no dogs.
A neighbor insists coyotes killed my cat (O for 3)
Sun PM cat returns for dinner (1 for 3)
Mon 1 dog returns solo (2 for 3)
A long week later 2nd dog's found sporting a couple of chewed ropes, tied to her collar. (3 for 3)

Leaving indefinitely for Central America in a few weeks. Emptying my house/farm (after 25 yrs) so it can be rented.

So thank God my colonoscopy ride (next week) called to start mansplain it all. I said thanks but I've got instructions already. He got mad. Relax! Calm down! You're over reacting! 😬

I got the internship in Costa Rica! YIPPEE! I'll leave a month earlier than originally planned, and will be responsible for photography + care of babies, howlers + more - interesting as my sisters didn't trust me with their kids (though they could have). I deal with baby animals of all kinds often.

Later, another neighbor called, some toolls + HIS camera had been stolen from his car the same night. I told him about my camera drama, he told me about his camera. It was the same make/model as my point-and-shoot. He had a bunch of accessories for it as he used it for work, so I gave him mine. :)

Funny story. After the trip I kept the point-and-shoot in my car. A neighbor sent a photo—Is this YOUR camera? It didn't look familiar, I said no. They laughed, what if there are photos of you in China on the card? Someone went through my car, stole it then dropped it in another driveway.

This is Yeti living his best life. Much loved, his family lives near the beach + recently vacationed in the PNW. So grateful for the pix! ♥️ Last year, I adopted Yeti from a shelter, he wasn't a good fit here, so we found him a home. It isn't often a rash moves, yields such a positive result.

She's absolutely incorrect, and her timeline is skewed. I'm 65, from a liberal state, and NEVER in my lifetime, has a 15 year old girl fucking a 40 year old man been socially acceptable, regardless of her grandmother having her first child at 12, and her sleeping with grown-ass men at 15.

So out of ALL of these turkey eggs 1 hatched! As well as a dozen of the chicken eggs. I have three tom turkeys living in a pen, and the one 'free range' tom does not mingle with the 4 turkey hens, so... A chicken is raising the resultant poult, as in the past turkeys have squashed their babies
