I wish. One 22 year old, runs to HR all of the time complaining that I'm taking a 'tone' with her. Funny, I made it through nearly 50 years without HR being involved in my life, from new employee to management level, so this is interesting. There are other options around if I need to switch.

Not here, we can even walk to a small shop. The property is on an unpaved road but 'civilized', it was cattle pasture, the shed is still at right. This is the view from where I sit most days before anyone is up. Capuchins regularly cross from the left, across the gate, through the trees on the right

A LOT of adjusting. I'm sharing a room with a 20 year old man, there's plenty of high school drama I try to avoid, lots of rules to follow, things I can't do and some resentment I can't do them. One has to have inner fortitude + solid sense of self worth, Lol. But the proximity to animals is amazing

It's been great! Today an ocelot came in, gorgeous animal. A howler monkey left - recovered enough to return to her life. We have several animals leaving this week, which is great for them. They try to release animals near where they were found if possible. Lots of wildlife around too, which I love!

Lily found a home! She's coming into her own and doing great with a local family. Sometimes it does take a a village to find a good home for an animal.

We'll see how long I'll be gone. The first 6 mos are a lock. I'll be in Costa Rica working at a wildlife rescue. Then head to Panama and hang out in Bocas del Toro for a bit? then Boquete up in the mountains? Then it probably depends on how things are going here, and if I can get my house rented...

Ugh, so much STUFF. I'm working on donating and going through stuff without going down a rabbit hole memory lane. Making headway slowly until I depart on Sunday. Argh! :)
