Respectfully, have you ever tried to turnaround a super tanker within a small harbor without benefit of tugboats -- lots of tugboats? Seriously, getting to critical mass for ignition usually takes awhile -- just the processing time for the yellow cake alone.

Respectfully, SCOTUS cannot unwind the 22nd Amendment all by its lonesome. Further, NFW is the 22nd going to be unwound via a superseding amendment a la what the 21th did to the 18th, much less accomplished in 3 years. Plus, Beelzebub has already taken care of the paperwork for Chankles' admission.

Maybe, maybe not. Just this week the expected happened: Moulton formally announced that he is running for Markey's current US Senate seat in 2026 and Moulton knows his way around a K-bar as well as tough slogs.

I used to park in the mudflats and a friend was a bigger dog with the then BRA.

Menino was force of nature and mostly for the good, if not great goods. Why he liked me was a mystery (actually, I have theory). In any event, a lot of people miss Mumbles.

Mahty, on the other hand, not so much.

Actually, it is the odds that matter; specifically, the odds of Trump living out his 2nd term. Next, Trump can't serve a third term nor can he succeed Vance if JD were to run for president and most unlikely win. Also note that a likely by then Democratic Speaker would be second in line to succeed.

In any event, while not a Boston native, Tom Menino and I talked regularly late in his life, w/Tom Finneran often enough, and my daughter went to grammar school w/Billy's granddaughters and I know his son Jimmy. Let's just say that I'm familiar w/shivs even if I've been unenrolled for decades. 2

Actually, I grew up in Central CA, went to Cal, lived in both NorCal and SoCal as an adult, learned politics from family in Chicago in my teens, and was in the room for Dean's Watergate testimony as I was a House staffer. Next up, Billy Bulger was a State Senate President, not Boston's mayor. 1

Huh? Carter has a remarkable post presidency and not just because he lived so long. His one term and down tenure, however, was variously less than successful as well as set the stage for Reagan to prevail in 1980.
