disappointing tbh. i hope they’re able to reflect on their words and heal from that toxic mindset. i wish they had taken at least a little accountability bc seeing that was honestly triggering me to the point of having to unfollow. wish them the best but that’s not it.

it's really sad because people who hold onto this belief were taught from a very young age that love = pain, that nobody is safe, and mistakes are unacceptable. it takes so long to unlearn. i just wish they had the self awareness not to post that.

as someone who was also spanked A LOT. i have a lot of empathy and understanding for people who feel this way about their trauma. but i really urge anyone who has been abused like this to really unpack how this affects them into adulthood bc i promise you it cuts way deeper than you realize.
