Happy to see one of the moths I made for the Lincolnshire Show resting on the wall of my house. Even though it's red underwings stayed hidden.

All the moths I made in May. Connecting with #MothMay has been great; it's lovely to see other people's moth art and it's encouraged me in my creations. These moths will be appearing at the Lincolnshire Show in June, I might make some more but I have to make some bats first 🦇

Red underwing for #MothMay made from felt with a touch of paint. The subtle camouflage and vibrant shock of colour seem like the perfect combination for a moth.

Happy to see @isleofrum.bsky.social and @rumdeerresearch.bsky.social here on BlueSky 💙 We had a wonderful stay on the island in April, every day was magical with crazy skies switching from hail showers to sunshine, sun halos and aurora. And wildlife everywhere; sea + golden eagles, divers, otters...

Two for one on the felt moths for #MothMay. Elephant hawk-moth and large emerald moth.
Now I'm wondering about the possibility of making a red underwing.

I've got the days mixed up for the #MothMay challenge but I had to attempt a Mother Shipton moth as I grew up in #Knaresborough, Mother Shipton's home town.
Painting on the felt wings turned out better than I expected!

A homemade felt brimstone moth in my garden where I saw an actual brimstone moth a couple of days ago. #MothMay

My little challenge for #12dayswild was to take a photo of winter colour every day. These are the colours. It may be grey and drab outside but there's always colour to be found.
Thank you @the-wildlifetrusts.bsky.social for the Christmas challenge.

Lovely blue skies over Banovallum House, the HQ of Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, to welcome in the new year. Looking forward to what 2025 will bring for wildlife and nature recovery in the county.

Love this river-themed window at the Sir Joseph Banks Centre in Horncastle. There are some wonderful wildlife and Christmas details in the handmade papercut design by local artist Joanna Pass.

Didn't really feel like it was December until today when I got to spend the day at the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust's Gibraltar Point. It's cosy and Christmassy in the visitor centre and bracingly windswept on the beach.
