“But my intention was not just to remark on the absurdity of our tech-saturated world. I also wanted to create my own.“

Edmonton folks, come out to a book launch at Audreys on Oct. 9 at 7 pm for Ben Zalkind's stellar debut. In the near future a group of citizens band together to fight the tech billionaire overlord who owns Substrate Inc.The struggle is real, as is the parody, in a world eerily similar to our own.

Artist and poet Zachari Logan merged his art forms when, during a sketchbook project that only utilized green pens and pencils, he started to see a confluence between the drawings and his writing. The two became his new collection, GREEN (@radiantpress.bsky.social).

The cover of Zachari Logan's poetry collection "Green", where the title and author's name are rendered in vibrant fuchsia-red against a green paper background. The author is quoted to say: "...the book's cover - it's title, Green, scrolled in a rosy red, repeated in the book's centre, a consequence of the sketchbook's own design. Within the collection of studies, there are two of saints being 'flayed'...all rendered in greens rather than the reds and flesh tones of human violence we would typically associate."

We put together a list of four follow-up reads for when you're in the mood to feel a little unsettled (in a good way).
