Little known fact: Zohran helped run the Father K campaign in Bay Ridge back in '17. ❤️
A shoutout tonight to all the alumni of the Father K campaign. Yalla.

Last night, we heard all or our favorite bikelash arguments.

We also heard something novel and unhinged from Board member Stephen Harrison.

He believes that the presence of Citi Bike docks in the street will lower the value of homes so much that DOT should compensate nearby property owners.
Tomorrow's CB10 traffic and transportation meeting will be an important one. If we're going to reduce traffic, limit car dependency, and improve street safety, we need a dense and usable network of alternative transit modes.

Show your support of cycling and less public space for car storage.
Citi Bike is (finally) coming to Bay Ridge!

But we need YOU to take action so the plan to expand the popular bikeshare program isn’t delayed or watered down.
If you’re looking for the kid rides and the climbing wall at fun on fifth, it’s between 72nd and Ovington, and if you’ve already had enough zepoles try the Nigerian vegan food truck at 73rd.

Yesterday, the Honorable Rep. Nicole Malliotakis voted for One Big Beautiful Bill—a piece of sh*t that shreds Medicaid and hands billionaires a tax break.

I'm challenging her to a public debate in her district on why she voted YES.

Our shared constituents deserve answers.

Or maybe House Representative, Nicole Malliotakis forgot that my family members are registered voters & her constituents here in #NY11. Or maybe she just doesn’t care. But plenty of people in our district do care. @radiofreebr.bsky.social @agounardes.bsky.social @justinbrannan.bsky.social
When #NY11 House Representative Nicole Malliotakis voted to defund my incandescent autistic son’s Medicaid, SNAP and other benefits yesterday, she forgot that I read this piece right in front of her office last week. Or she didn’t listen. thinkingautismguide.com/2025/05/medi...
Medicaid Is Life for My Autistic Son — THINKING PERSON'S GUIDE TO AUTISM
Medicaid is life for my mostly non-speaking autistic son. Cutting it would remove the services that make his interdependent life possible.

Thanks! Sometimes our autism brain is a bit perfectionist and gets in the way of doing things fast.
Here's an example though of one of our previous episodes. Kayla's is coming over the weekend most likely! Ingeborg is still in progress.

Sadly requires lots of time to do right, on top of our day jobs.

We've found that tons of local place names, political phrases, etc get garbled pretty badly. Plus the tech is still woefully bad at understanding who is speaking when.

That, plus we also need to confirm timestamps so it can override YouTube's bad automated transcript as well.
Yes, but we need to review all AI transcripts due to the hyper local nature of the podcast. Still takes hours. Automated methods are filled with errors that need to be caught with manual listens, along with reformatting and typing.

(See some of our other episodes which we have transcriptions for)
Yep! We are already working on it, unfortunately it takes some time to manually type it all out and edit.
Deliverista Domain Cleric gets the Find Steed (Bike) spell always prepared, bonus movement, and can administer a potion or healing item as a bonus action. Alarm, Expeditious Retreat, Goodberry Level 1 spell list.
Way of Pedestrians Monk gives Uncanny Dodge and a reaction to move half speed if an enemy ends its turn within 5 feet of you. Mounted enemies no longer have advantage against you if you are smaller than the mount. Deflect Missile now works on pamphlets and palm cards.
Path of Double Parking provides a grapple reaction against enemies that take the disengage action within 5 feet, and resistance to thunder damage.
Bay Ridge D&D subclass ideas:

Circle of the Narrows Druid
Facebook Patron Warlock
Path of Double Parking Barbarian
Porch Pirate Rogue
Deliverista Domain Cleric
Way of Pedestrians Monk
R Train Commuter Fighter
Oath of Community Board Paladin
Brunch Walker Ranger
Sinkhole Sorcerer
CUNY Wizard
And yes, before you ask: if she is elected, you will be able to tag her on Facebook to get a pot hole filled.

Trumps DOJ accidentally misfile a letter acknowledging they have huge legal holes in their attempts to kill Congestion Pricing, which is improving air quality, lowering traffic, funding transit, and improving commutes.
So, uh, it certainly looks like DOJ intended to file a letter to Judge Liman in MTA v. Duffy, but….it accidentally filed a letter containing its legal advice to the Department of Transportation instead

THANK YOU for organizing this, we can't wait for your next event!
#NY11 owes a huge thank-you to @mikedecillis.bsky.social, who organized a MASSIVE #HandsOff town hall on Staten Island on April 5th & plans additional actions throughout the district. Nicole may want to hide, but these constituents will hold her accountable.

Malliotakis: “There’s a clear understanding between many of us and the speaker. We will not vote for something that takes away eligibility from our constituents, period.” Priceless.

Eligibility without funding? Meaningless.
