If you're looking for more cloche representation in chronometers, the Royal Observatory in Greenwich does not disappoint. I just love this little monkey robot looking guy. Even if he does have to stay in there because his alien body cannot survive the atmosphere on our planet, presumably.

Some days I can't even serenely contemplate some truly ornate guttering without spiraling off into how it was once in the garden of a now-demolished manor house and the super-ultra-wealthy these days don't even have the common decency to make all the suffering they cause artistically worthwhile.

National Building Museum's Visible Vault exhibit showed me this alternate design for the water feature at the WWII memorial. I cannot believe we have all been denied such magnificence. That thing has real physical and emotional heft.

Suggestion that 12 hrs/day coworker (aka "that one guy") could work 8 hrs/day and enjoy having a life met with "Nope. 0/10. Do not recommend." Which is so alien I don't know what to do with it. If he seemed to really love his job, you know, fine but that's not really the vibe either. How curious.

Read Will Smith's autobiography "Will" (thx lil free lib). Cannot decide if it was well written or not. Nothing felt like a surprise and a couple of things definitely should have been a surprise. So maybe well written for the flow? Or not well written for making A LOT feel kind of like not a lot?
