This announcement the day after the new Vancouver budget… who would’ve guessed that? I think about 600 people at the very least.

I’m kinda for the social media ban BUT I’m glad the kids are pushing back. The balance of what they are banning and what they are allowing is off. And the debate around silencing them is a good one that should be challenged. All in all will be interesting to observe

I always thought it was weird that my high school had three teachers marry former students…

… so I’m guessing that is not supposed to be normal…

Do you realize that teens today are the next generation of millennials?

Millennials, we had an analog childhood and an Internet enabled adolescence. Kids these days had a pre-AI childhood, and will have an AI-enabled adulthood.

I know I harp on about the VPD horses, it’s not about the money…

It’s because my grandmother told me back in her time, they were primarily used to oust indigenous people from Stanley Park. And they were seen as a symbol of safety for white people.

So yeah, I don’t think we should fund that anymore
Horses WITH their own social media accounts. 🤦‍♂️

I’m in Whistler today and I’m reminded about the time when my four year-old went up to a set of visitors in a coffee shop and asked “excuse me why is your snowboard in two pieces?”

They were skis.

Yes, they did. They absolutely did. They believe more money should be in their voters pockets and we should provide less public services. That’s their model.

They have given our city nothing that they can put their names to.

Except maybe the concrete that’s falling out of the aquatic center.
I have profound disagreements with ABC. But I'd like to believe that they didn't run for office to cut this deep and do this much damage.

There's still time left. I'm calling on two of them to break ranks and send this back to staff so a budget that meets our city's needs can be prepared. 2/2

They should have to give their vote in the middle of a packed BC place stadium of 55000 residents.

How confident are you that you are representing the wishes of your constituents and acting as conscientious stewards of this city? could you exit unescorted?

I was today years old when I learned of the cabbage patch mania.

I named my child after my cabbage patch kid. She was also a cabbage patch doll for her first Halloween. She has my cabbage patch doll.

My husband didn’t find out about all of that until she was 2.

So maybe we should actually build these going to schools.

We need someone to rebrand bike lanes to better reflect all users of them.

Ok I did more math.

Replacing Langara Golf Course with *that* would boost daily use from ~300 to ~4900 visits/day, about 23× more activity than current assuming a mid size rec centre and just whitecaps games in the stadium with avg attendance. PLUS house ~22000

But lease away school grounds 👀
After the excitement of the whitecaps win I looked at Langara golf course again. We could put a 25k person stadium, 8 public soccer fields, 1 indoor soccer field, a giant community centre/training facility and about 10k homes.

…or support an average of 300 golfers per day

NOT A PLAN just saying

NEW: The clash between the Vancouver Whitecaps and LAFC was one of the wildest soccer matches I've ever watched.

Ok. I know we have a history of these kinds of protests in Canada. BUT as much as I can tell a person protesting is protected, but those rights do NOT extend to vehicles. So a slow driving truck can be ticketed. A parked one can be towed. A person can stand tho
