New followers, hi!

My name is Rakhim, I'm a software architect at IQM Quantum Computers. We build full-stack superconducting QCs (own chips+sw)

I make videos about programming www.youtube.com/@Codexpanse

Also building a blog discovery/search engine minifeed.net and a blogging platform exotext.com
Found some of my old iPhone screenshots of google maps circa 2011

I really dislike how the closing elements in all programming languages provide zero info about what they're closing.

Started noticing lots of people using “anymore” as “now”, as in e.g. “gaming sucks anymore”. So weird.

Also, “to” instead of “too” (“way to often!”) and “there” instead of “their”

I have never seen a good implementation of WYSIWYG combined with markdown. Gitlab's comment editor is infuriating.

I wrote a new book: Quantum Computing For Software Engineers.

For those who'd like to learn about the realities of the industry, and consider joining it. QC architectures, software stack, compilers, pulse-level, and more.

The book is FREE! Or you can pay what you want.

I’ve never played extraction shooters before, and tried Arc Raiders today. It’s absolutely amazing.

GeForce now isn’t perfect though. Perhaps it’s finally time to revamp my gaming pc. Cuz I’m still on GTX 960.

PyCon Estonia's YouTube channel was deleted, for some reason, so I have uploaded my talk to my personal channel

@antoniokov.com re: newsletter.antoniokov.com/archive/dont...

I got to a similar point a few years ago. My "finance system" is calculating the net worth once a month. No transactions, no budgets.

My Apple watch has all tracking disabled. Don't care about calories or workouts. Just let me live :D

Do you know of any other scientists whose first, middle, and last names became names of things or concepts?

I only know of Haskell Brooks Curry.
Haskell and Brook are programming languages. Currying is a concept in computer science.

Can't authenticate into your Oracle cloud account with a weird "That name didn't work" error? The solution is behind authentication!

Topological Dynamical Decoupling on one of our #quantum chips arxiv.org/abs/2510.17692

I've been involved with the software side of enabling dynamical decoupling (or, rather, any structured modifications of pulse timings in general), and it's an exciting area for a physics noob like myself.
Topological Dynamical Decoupling with Complete Pulse Error Cancellation
Systematic pulse errors remain a major obstacle to high-fidelity quantum control. We present a new family of dynamical decoupling sequences, denoted Tn, that achieve exact cancellation of pulse area e...
