It was a burger place called Ivy's. They had Mr. Pibb in their fountain. But the burgers... Best burger I ever had. Ordered it as follow: Beef Patty, Mertz Cheese, grilled onions, crispy fried onions, BBQ sauce. Some times it was so juicy you had to eat it with a fork and knife.

First thing I thought of when I saw this panel is how the effect of slashing with the hockey stick and marking the point of impact with a flash or stars is basically the same effect popularized by Gottfredson in his Mickey comics (see first image) and then established in Japan by Tezuka (images 2+3)
