Why everyone should have a basic income.

I've yet to see a good argument against it.

Russian state media talking points seem easy to spot, even when they come from Western "low hanging fruit" outrage "dissenters" such as Maté, Blumenthal & Johnstone. There's a guy (no doubt well-meaning) who floods one of the main RAW Facebooks with this stuff.

UK Poet Laureate Simon Armitage speaks at length of his admiration for Bill Nelson. He says no other music puts him in poetic space more than Bill's experimental work. (I first heard of Robert Anton Wilson from Bill back in the 1980s). www.southbankcentre.co.uk/magazine/sim...

Buckminster Fuller talked of scientific advances being weaponised to deliver greater destruction over further distances in shorter times. The subject of this thread, weaponised, looks like delivering social/political breakdown in ever wider & more unstoppable ways, faster. bsky.app/profile/elio...
We’re watching a shift where AI simulates the cohesion and reinforcement that used to require an entire online community. A single person can now build a complete parallel reality with nothing more than a prompt window. Which seems bad.

The reference to "Fredrick Saudi, the physicist" in the 2001 Utopia USA interview of RAW by Lance Bauscher (also included in the new RAW anthology, 'A Non-Euclidean Perspective') refers, I think, to Frederick Soddy (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederi...). I don't know of any Fredrick Saudi.

You can't get much closer to a simple, reliably verifiable *fact* than the official score of a major football match (watched by millions around the world & reported by countless media outlets). Yet Xitter/Grok reported it wrongly the next day. bsky.app/profile/raws...
When I look at Xitter, I try to ignore the "What's Happening" & "Today's News" BS. But this caught my eye. X's (ie Grok's) headline & news summary for last night's big football game which Liverpool won 1-0. Xitter, main source of NEWS for many, struggling with factual report at THE MOST BASIC LEVEL.

I was fortunate to get a tip about Eraserhead & became an early DL fan. Later (1986) I saw a daytime showing of Blue Velvet in an empty Leicester Square (London) cinema on initial release. Magical. Hopper blew my mind & Isabella Rossellini, whose image I used in this crude paper/scissors collage:
