Matos currently has two (and likely a third) primary opponents: Providence Councilor @sueanderbois.bsky.social and fmr. state Sen. @cindycoyneri.bsky.social.

Xay Khamsyvoravong is also expected to enter the Dem primary.

On paper this is a flippable seat for the RI GOP.

It *may* have flipped back red in 2024 if anyone but Price ran. Trump x3 district.

Should note she's term-limited from the @pvdcitycouncil.bsky.social.

I've heard that she'll seek the open House District 7 seat, but nothing confirmed of course.
