I also frequently left my essays til 4am the morning of the day it was due and had to leave for school at 7am. Still showed up with a properly cited bibliography and got B's or above with minimal grammar errors while being dyslexic.

My ex-teen ass is laughing at the brainrot.

On top of this cover are blue word bubbles with what you'll find within the book: Adult main character, wise-ass funny narrator, disability and mental health rep, 400 plus page count, LGBT romance, found family, themes of environmentalism, justice, and intersectionalism, shapeshifters, fungal monsters, a near-future tech world, magical realism, and "there was only one bed."

The opening to Echo Sight:
Chapter 1 - The Senka Problem

Blood never clings to phoenix feathers. Symbolic, I guess, though mostly just convenient for me at the time. The guy at my feet was super dead.

The feather quills of my cloak dragged the concrete, so I held its hem close as I crouched beside the body. Raindrops hissed as each one pelted the exposed skin on my face and hands. In the bleak, stormy night, my halo did basically nothing that the bright harbor lights didn't.

"Fucking great," said the big man standing over me.

A dark-haired man commanding ocean waves with the movements of his hands. His expression is stern in concentration. He wears a pair of large earrings and a necklace vial containing liquid within. His black formal shirt is soaked through, and underneath him is the words "Echo Sight," the title of the novel he's from.

I can't say that anything particularly good has happened to me career wise and I don't go out of my way to build a following, but I'm not dead yet, so there's always time for that : ]

I mostly get work via friends kindly keeping an eye out oh my behalf, which I'm incredibly grateful for.

I curate my timeline really carefully and block with a hair trigger, because I'm easily overwhelmed. As a result, I avoid a lot of nonsense, so my experience on socmed is usually pretty okay comparatively.

I want to surround myself with cool folks and so I do. And that makes me really happy.

I've met so many incredibly cool people, and had the pleasure of following along with their journey through art and writing and etc. I've found lasting friends who I now can't imagine being without.

Sure I get some work on socmed if I need it, but it's the friends and moots who matter to me most.
