I'm not lazy, I can cook no prob, but instantpot meals are like... spoon-saving convenience. That is deliberately not the full stovetop situation.

I also self printed my first chapter of Trance in BW with a colour cover well before webtoons and corpo platforming for comics was really a thing...so, I fully understand and share the current bullshit frustrations. It's all wrapped into not treating artists as people, just a product they consume.

I think it's not so much easier craftwise, as maybe easier for the brain workflow for some folks? But I can't really speak for anyone else saying these things, just myself : >

I can only add my own anecdotal experience here, but I think 'easy' is subjective?
Like, if I reverted to BW it would save me some time, and remove 2 steps that are xtra challenging for me, as colour grinds my brain to a halt. But that would free me to put more effort into the linework/values too.

I feel like, If Bsky did actually do this, it would only result in people who would not be alt-texting anyway, spitefully typing "alt text" or a single letter into the box to get their posts out, thus rendering the feature useless, still annoying low-visioners and the copypaste scolds regardless. 😑
