This notion of a “kill switch” is sticking with me. Much like the use of Trump-related redactions, Trump wants to control a kill switch to make all of his perceived problems disappear. We can’t let it happen, despite sycophants like Bari Weiss who dishonor the duty of journalism.
60 Minutes journalist Sharyn Alfonsi sharply summarizes the appalling decision of Bari Weiss not to run her CECOT story: “If the administration’s refusal to participate becomes a valid reason to spike a story, we have effectively handed them a ‘kill switch’ for any reporting they find inconvenient.”

So, what Bari Weiss has essentially done here is generate enormous interest in a segment she attempted to censor, only for that segment to be shared worldwide within 24 hours of her suppression attempt because of her incompetence.

Bari Weiss is so incompetent at leading CBS News that her efforts at fully suppressing the 60 Minutes segment on CECOT was foiled because she wasn't aware (or forgot) that the broadcast package including that segment was distributed via a streaming app for broadcast in Canada.

Really not sure why we want health insurance companies like this whose only goal is to make a profit off of our healthcare. Nobody but the insurance companies benefit from this, and we all get worse healthcare for more money.
