Well... Can't say we weren't warned! But everybody just kept buying their crap year over year anyway. I have a 5080 myself, but I upgraded from a RX 580. I would have bought a 4080 or 7900 XTX, but both were tremendously overpriced this year in India.

It IS a great read. The "monster" is easily among the greatest character ever created in Gothic fiction.

Really liked it. I love the flowery prose, particularly in regards to how Shelley describes nature. Neat stuff.
I like how in the events preceeding the Monster's creation, Victor's so incredibly full of whimsy and hope, just to re-iterate that shit's about to get bad

Can relate... Every laptop I have ever used had some weird component that would break shit unless you ran all the bloat the manufacturer shipped.
Way more people would have a good time switching to Linux if their first experience was a desktop computer instead of a laptop
