Reminder about Jan 6:

it really happened
It was a horror
140+ police were injured
A range of violent weapons were used by attackers
Chants to hang Mike Pence were heard
There was a gallows and guns
Pipe bombs diverted police as mob approached

Lol what?

(I had prepared a much longer response but this felt more appropriate)
A lot of people do not want to hear that there is an intense pro-police and pro-prison turn among the left. E.g. the drive to limit the pardon power, which is the only way some people get any relief from excessive sentencing on the state and federal level.

What Trump gets right and wrong about pardons
Pardons aren’t about helping political allies – they’re about bringing a measure of justice to an unjust system.

The Trumps- EVERY SINGLE ONE- should be prosecuted to the fullest extent in a new administration. They are strip mining this country. The most selfish assholes on the planet. Fuck em all. Make them so scared they bail to Russia.

I want to see them in prison or in exile.

Agents in Key Largo, Florida ripped this woman wearing medical scrubs out of her car as she screamed she is a US citizen. Agents cuffed her and put her in one of their cars.

She was eventually let go, per David Goodhue of the Miami Herald, who also took this footage:

Just straight up racism and jingoism. How the fuck has this become normalized?
Trump: "People that shouldn't be in our country, and that includes Somalians and plenty of others. We don't want those people. Many of them are no good. All they do is go around killing each other, then they come into our country and tell us how to run our country. We don't want them."

Department of Defense Law of War Manual, Sec. 18.3.2.1 states the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders.

What’s its key example? Wait for it . . . It’s "orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

There are specific reasons Trumpists want war on Venezuela, but there‘s a generic one: they crave power to make war on anyone, any time, for completely fabricated reasons, and then to use the guise of war to increase violence and repression everywhere, including home.

They are lawless bestial scum.

Cancer drug Revlimid is one of the bestselling pharmaceutical products of all time, with total sales of over $100 billion.

It’s also extraordinarily expensive, costing nearly $1,000 for each pill, even though that pill costs just 25 cents to make.
