• Most of everyday so-called “crisis” situations are not life-or-death matters but opportunities to either advance or stay where you are.

• A bad feeling cannot be dispelled by willpower. The only cure for worry is to make a habit out of it immediately and substituting it for a positive feeling.
• If you are too proud of your forgiveness, you are apt to feel that the person owes you something for forgiving them. We find it difficult to forgive because we like our sense of condemnation.

• Stop scarring yourself with your own mental picture. Stop fighting straw men.
• We continue to express our grievances against life, in hope that life itself will take pity and solve our problems. Frustration as a way of solving problems does not work.

• Resentment is an attempt to make our failure palatable by explaining it in terms of injustice, making you feel as a victim.
• You can change a habit by thinking of it consciously until it becomes automatic. Changing your habits changes your self-image.

• Insecurity is not because our inner sources are inadequate, but because we use a false measuring stick. Mentally, get down off your high horse to feel more secure.
• You should consciously forget the negative experiences and not let them define you, otherwise it will subconsciously turn into your “goal”, which will make you miserable.

• Creative ideas are not consciously thought. They are spontaneous when you are relaxed and dealing with something else.
Started reading Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz after seeing positive reviews. Unlike most mainstream self-help books, this one was constructive and less gimmicky.

Here are the main things I derived from the book 👇:

Some photos of Vuno and the southern coast of Albania. Every year that I go there I am amazed by the very clear sea and the architecture similar to that of Greece. Did you know the population of Vuno is almost exclusively Orthodox?
