I don't know why this is surprising. Since financial crisis this has been the modus operandi of the right:

1. Set aside the fine money.
2. Break the law.
3. Get the result you want (ie. Brexit).
4. Make a fake apology, pay the £$€, promise to not do it again.

Fines are then cost of doing business.

Also I couldn't watch Fox News as it ceased being shown in the UK due to poor ratings & I would sooner push shards of broken glass up my bottom than watch Fox News.

All federal employees should remember this at the polls. Especially if Trump refuses to pay the required back wages once we get reopened.
That said, 20m Americans are at risk of losing health insurance through ACA.
For the rich, Trump cancelled taxes. For the middle class, he cancels insurance.

I actually think the media are starting to latch on to this unpalatable truth. I've heard it put in almost whispers 'are the voters dumb' I'll say it, yeah fucking dumb. I wonder if universal suffrage should be scrapped.

Add that to places to eat. Ristoranté La Battagia in Bari Italy. It has a fish counter where one assumes you pick out your dinner. A rented apartment ideally so I can see the famous Bari pasta ladies in the alley in town and cook pasta with freshly landed fish.
