Hate seeing this for teams as they enter the playoffs.

Going to sound a broken record like everyone else, but the NCAA really needs to look at not opening the portal for fall/winter season sports like football until said season is formally finished across all NCAA divisions.

It sorta does seem like Polasek is positioning himself for a Cignetti type path right now, doesn’t it?

Step 1: take NDSU FBS

Step 2: dominate the G6 showing the Bison have always been one of the top teams in the country (see JMU)

Step 3: get a job at Wisc, MSU, Iowa, UNL, etc.
November 26, 2025 at 4:04 PM
To repeat:

Why would Polasek leave for Oregon State or Colorado State when there (and will continue to be) better opportunities?

With NDSU being a better program than either, he’s smart enough to play the game carefully and wait for a spot that actually sets him up for success.
Scratch a name off Oregon State's list.

Pete Thamel is reporting that North Dakota State agreed to a new seven year contract with coach Tim Polasek, who will earn a significant raise.

Other outlets believed that Polasek was a favorite for the Beavers open head coach gig.

“We certainly are planning an independent schedule. We’ll release it somewhere in February or March. We certainly will have a full schedule ready to go.” -Sac State AD Mark Orr

Those are weird ways of spelling “November” 🤨

Hornets or Nomads? Sac State bets house in football gamble — and loses | Opinion
There is no 2026 rivalry game planned with UC Davis because the Hornets are leaving their conference. In fact, only 4 games are scheduled.

Update: Not the first!

As /u/andyaustinphoto noted over in /r/FCS, it’s happened at least twice before (or at least the same teams played twice).

York College and now defunct Yankton College played in 1951 and 1952, with York winning the 1st 30-24 and Yankton the 2nd 25-12.
If someone can find one please let us know, but next week’s 1st round matchup between Yale and Youngstown appears to be the 1st time in the history of college football that two teams whose schools start with “Y” have played each other.

What in the world was going on in the Selection Committee's minds.

Why in the word are UC Davis, Mercer, and SFA rewarded while Tennessee Tech is majorly punished?

Why was Harvard treated so much more critically than SDSU?
November 23, 2025 at 5:49 PM
Tennessee Tech beat every FCS team they played and only lost to Kentucky, and that gets them a #13 seed??? After the committee had them #7 in their last ranking???
November 23, 2025 at 5:27 PM
Prepare yourselves:

MSU at #2 and UM at #3

If both schools take care of business, we get Cat/Griz 2 Electric Boogaloo in Bozeman for a trip to Nashville 👀
November 23, 2025 at 5:09 PM
Tennessee Tech got screwed over. No reason as an undefeated they should've bene left out before Mercer, SFA, or UC Davis.

Today might've been Sac State's last legitimate chance to make the FCS playoffs. They still only have 3 games with a date attached next season when they go FCS independent
