Buyers of carbon credits from the project include Shell, VW, Tokyo Gas, PetroChina, Delta Airlines, TotalEnergies, and Boeing.

A Canadian lithium mine in Brazil claims to be "carbon neutral".

Thanks to a REDD project, now suspended, set up by Ricardo Stoppe - charged with corruption, illegal deforestation, financial crime, land grabbing, money laundering, and criminal organisation.

CarbonPlan recently wrote a critique of Verra’s response to the 15.2 million fake carbon credits sold by the Kariba REDD project in Zimbabwe.

CarbonPlan describes Kariba as “the REDD+ offset project that has been synonymous with carbon market dysfunction”.

☠️ Last week, the company’s investment scheme collapsed.

💣 The money to pay existing investors came from new investors. It was a Ponzi scheme, in other words.

It documents "fatal flaws" with offsets:
