"Augustine, this was just a 50 minute summary of the Communist Manifesto, followed by ten solid minutes of Wyrms Rock exploding?"

Augustine fails to see the problem.
"Very few films really need to be longer than an hour," he says, and slides a paper over to you, "this is our TNT budget."

A key aspect of boyfriend duty, as Augustine is learning, is knowing that Dolly's optimism also applies to what's a warm enough outfit to go out on an autumnal walk in.
That's why he wore the big scarf, too.

#tavqotd if the moon reflects the sun for long enough, can it make a little light of it's own, I wonder?

When you dragged your little apothecary crush out to a cave for really legit reasons and he's trying to tell you about the calming qualities of certain forms of sound on the mind and you're definitely listening and not just standing there thinking

Share your couple's art!

(Is all art ok? I'll put some VP in the comments, too.)

(he found her Tower one of the few calming spaces during his journey, and enjoyed his time beside the Sussur tree.

....if he'd known more people like Lenore, he'd have a kinder view of wizards 😂)

Augustine would like Lenore.

He thought a lot of her Tower. He even let Bernard hug him, which was terribly awkward, but he did.

... Another thing that'll add to his fury when he reaches the Steel Watch Foundry. :(

Also for the record his general stance on the bhaalists is just letting them eat themselves because they're designed for their own destruction.

He'll help a durge deal with Orin, but on a personal level, he views them rather similarly to a plague - to be contained in quarantine.

Oh my god
But hear me out, the cult of Bhaal is already riddled with prion disease, oh god

But it MAKES SENSE

Ugh shit like this is why Augustine wants dead gods to stay dead.
They don't care about you, even the good ones, you're all just numbers to them.
redroomroaving.bsky.social
When that happens Augustine will stand there in the temple of bhaal shouting
"I WARNED YOU"

(Honestly though considering the 'bad' ending for a durge, is ... it so far fetched to see that danger reflected there? of all the people who should value the sanctity of their brain tissue, guys, please-)

After a very long day of attempting to convince your lunatic durges not to contract prion diseases, Auggie will take what he can get.
Put your feet up dear, it's ok.

To answer that without spoiling loads; sometimes when people who are unaccustomed to being told 'no' find themselves met with boundaries, they'll do anything to make that answer a yes, and if they happen to also not care about this coming at the cost of others, no solution is off limits.

Oh that's awesome! Oh for sure, I definitely lean into it for the most chaotic parts of the feywild; there's a *lot* of horror there. A great inspiration source for homebrew!

... Maybe you'll forgive him for getting so worked up about prions yesterday, eh?

(CW- body horror, gore)
Augustine spent a very, very long time trapped in the Feywild under the service of a cruel, inventive creature who was looking for an answer.
Have you seen the movie Annihilation?
Augustine's job was to keep them alive.
He's much harder to scare now.

(all good! I think Auggie just wouldn't debate that beyond a grim acknowledgement that repercussions for desperate decisions tend to also be miserable things, but not always avoidable. He's been enough of a downer, though.
He's seen some stuff, gang, he just wants to spare people a miserable death.)

(hey, as a man who lost his ability to taste normal food on account of imprisonment and starvation driving him to consume food in the feywild, Augustine knows a little bit about the consequences of such decisions, but he's got no particular fight in him there, people are free most of all.)
